Teen Leader Payroll Information
Important Information
All Teen Leaders are paid on the same biweekly schedule (see below). Please also reference the payroll calendar you received in your welcome email for more detail.
Your pay is taxed. Your net pay is what you are actually paid after taxes. How much you are taxed is based on the information you filled out on your W-4. Click here for information to help you understand your taxes.
Teen Leaders are ONLY paid for time worked (absences, arriving late, and/or leaving early will impact your pay).

Payment method
Teens have three options for payment method: paper check, direct deposit, or Skylight card. You are able to change your payment method at any point.
Paper checks: Checks are mailed to the address put on your Teen Leader application on pay days. They typically take 5 to 7 business days to arrive but could take up to 10 business days. Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Holidays falling on Fridays will cause checks to be mailed out the following Monday. If you have not received your check in 10 business days, contact payroll@readalliance.org.
Direct deposit: Completed direct deposit forms must be sent to payroll@readalliance.org. You must contact your bank for a direct deposit form, those forms are not provided by Read Alliance. Forms cannot be accepted if they list someone other than the Teen Leader as the account holder.
Skylight cards: To sign up for Skylight cards, you must make an appointment visit the Read Alliance office at 160 Broadway, 8th Floor, East Building. Please contact payroll@readalliance.org.
