Read Alliance Alumni Association
The Read Alliance Alumni Association is a community of former Teen Leaders, Senior Teen Leaders, and READ Program alum. The goal of the association is to cultivate long-lasting relationships with one another beyond their involvement with READ, and to elevate opportunities for scholarships, internships, and other professional development activities for READ alumni in an effort to support their ongoing educational and professional journeys, both during their college years and beyond.

To establish a curated platform that facilitates the seamless transition of Teen Leaders, Senior Teen Leaders, and other members into an alumni community.
Recent association activities
In January, Sydni-Sophia Russell, READ Alumni Coordinator & former Senior Teen Leader, spoke about the impact of the Read Alliance model at the NY State Capitol for Ed-Trust NY’s launch of the NYS Early Literacy Campaign. Sydni was accompanied by esteemed alumni Zeyd Alabsi and Devin Suazo.

Alumni connections and reconnections have also been fostered at events including READ’s VIP Gala Kick-Off Reception, Chat & Chew Check-In with Spring 2023 College Now Program Pilot Cohort, and Alumni Speed-Networking Event which brought together alumni currently in college with those who already graduated
