Read Alliance Sixth Annual Youth Summit: The Power of YOUth
The 2024 Annual Youth Summit was a full-day event that brought together READ Teen Leaders from the five boroughs of NYC and beyond to mark the culmination of their meaningful summer employment and participation in complementary leadership programming. At the Summit, we celebrated the Teen Leaders' achievements and their success as literacy role models for striving young readers.
The Power of YOUth: Turning a New Page Summit enhanced the Teen Leaders' recent paid professional experiences by providing them with interactive learning opportunities, such as workshops, panels, and activities that promoted important life and leadership skills. The Summit served as a unique opportunity to connect with visionaries in the corporate sector, education champions, and philanthropists - all of whom are dedicated to advancing equity and success for young people.
