Danielle Guindo

Danielle Guindo brings almost twenty years of senior non‐profit experience to her role as Executive Director. Danielle has a diverse and effective background in managing education-based initiatives for children from infancy through college and has successfully leveraged private and public support to elevate the quality and efficacy of programs. Before joining Read Alliance, Danielle served as Chief Program Officer at YWCA Brooklyn, where she oversaw and led the expansion of programs serving women and girls through college access and leadership development, economic empowerment for low-income women survivors of domestic violence, and social justice advocacy and organizing. Prior to working at YWCA Brooklyn, Ms. Guindo served as Vice President for Programs and Policy at The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc. where she was responsible for expanding and implementing youth programs and education initiatives across the five boroughs. Ms. Guindo has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master in Social Work Research from Fordham University.

Yvette Russell joined Read Alliance in February 2015. Prior to joining Read Alliance in 2015, Yvette worked in Special Projects and Alumni Relations at Harlem Children’s Zone where she also served as Director of the Truce Media Literacy and Arts Program until 2012. In addition to having over 10 years of non-profit management and program experience, Yvette has worked in publishing. Yvette received the “Coming Up Taller” Award from The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities in 2005 and participated as a panelist in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum National Conference, “Thinking Like an Artist: Creativity and Problem Solving in the Classroom,” in 2010. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and African American History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Marcos Clander, Senior Director of Program and Partnerships, has 10 years of experience at Read Alliance, since joining the team in January of 2014. Marcos has held several positions with increasing responsibility within the Program department as a Tutor Manager, Program Manager, Senior Program Manager and most recently Youth Development Director. Before joining Read Alliance, Marcos was a counselor with Literacy Partners, Incorporated, an organization dedicated to adult literacy and GED attainment. Marcos graduated from Stony Brook University in 2007 with a degree in Sociology, and received a Master’s in Public Policy from Rutgers University.  

Patricia maclean

Patricia MacLean, Senior Manager of Development & Strategic Initiatives, has more than 25 years of experience in both non-profit and corporate settings. She brings a varied background in developing partnerships for organizations striving to create inspiring and impactful programming in her role at Read Alliance. Prior to her current role, Patricia spent several years leading Corporate Sponsorship at Jazz at Lincoln Center as well as managing the NBC Olympic marketing effort of the NBC and Telemundo owned-and-operated stations. Additionally, Patricia has served in fundraising and event management roles for Kean University and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, was a teacher in Bolivia and served as a job coach to assist young adults with intellectual disabilities integrating into the workforce. Patricia has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan. 

Digant BaHl

Digant Bahl, CPA, has over twenty years of experience in not-for-profit Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining Read Alliance in 2010, Digant was CFO at various charter schools. Digant also worked as a Senior Auditor for McGladrey & Pullen LLP, now RSM, and Director of Finance for Synergos Institute Inc. Digant holds an MBA in Finance from New York Institute of Technology. Digant is a licensed CPA in the State of New York and is an active member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Digant has served as President of the Board of Directors for the Manhattan Bronx Chapter of NYSSCPA and also serves as a community member on Citizen's Advisory Committee of Syosset Central School District.
