  • To apply to be a Teen Leader, please follow this link to the application.

  • Please reach out to payroll@readalliance.org and provide them with your name and year(s) of employment with Read Alliance.

  • While we do accept online applications, our recruitment process and subsequent outreach efforts are primarily in-person and focused on high schools that are in close proximity and have established relationships with our elementary school partners.

  • If a Read Alliance staff member contacts you regarding your application, then you will be given instructions on how to submit your documents. If no staff member has contacted you, please do not email your documents to them.

  • During the summer, we recruit our teens from SYEP. If you are selected by SYEP and work with one of our partners, yes you can work with us. Priority is then given to teens that have worked with us during the school year.

  • All Read Alliance programs are held in person at various elementary schools across the 5 boroughs. Your placement is dependent on the high school that you attend.

  • There isn’t a deadline to apply to be a Teen Leader.

  • You should email payroll@readalliance. This email should include your full name, the site you work at, and your pay concern.
